Use this acupressure sequence to help you sleep.
We all experience difficulty with sleep at some point in our lives. For you maybe you have upcoming scans and appointments, or you are excited about returning to school or work. Regardless of the reason, we all need sleep to function well.
Try out this acupressure sequence to help you fall asleep and stay asleep!
The point is located on the head, about an inch from the soft depression immediately behind the earlobe towards the back of the head.
Special considerations: avoid firm pressure at this point to avoid damaging the styloid process.
Using the tip of the index finger, feel for a small depression located on or near the wrist crease, on the other arm on the radial side of the tendon. Stimulate with the tip of the index finger or thumb.
This point is located on the arm, three finger breadths from the wrist crease on the inner forearm in between the two tendons.
This point is located on the inside of the lower leg, four finger widths up from the ankle bone.
Special considerations: contraindicated in pregnancy
This point is located behind the ankle, in the soft depression between the back edge of the ankle bone and the Achilles tendon. Stimulate with the forefinger or thumb.
This point is located on the top of the foot in the space between the bones leading up to the first and second toe, roughly one third of the way between the base of the toes and the ankle.
Special considerations: avoid use during pregnancy.
