Identify Your Values
Gifts and passions are only part of the equation to finding purpose.
Your values support your actions. They are your underlying driving force and what really matters to you. They can be as simple as equality for all, treating others with kindness, or picking up after yourself. Often your values relate to how you want to be remembered.
Finding your values
One way to identify your values is to create a list of your top ten values. Think carefully about what matters most to you and what drives your actions now.
Then, narrow that list down to five values.
After that, can you choose one value that rises to the top, that feels the most important for your life?
When you have identified your values, plug them into the equation: (your gifts) + (your passion) + (your values) = (your purpose).
